Alzheimer’s research and design. In the narrow long corridors (80mx1.60m) of the dementia ward at the St. Jacobs Institution in Amsterdam, I researched how Alzheimer’s patients experience their public space. I introduced the timeless, tactile social activity of hanging the laundry together. The personal laundry of the residents added human scale and nostalgic smells of freshness. It became a social program in the lives of those who want to forget their forgetfullness. See more
Urban planning nowadays means finding a social programme for existing spaces. An attempt to save the endangered VU Hortus ended up in a future vision for de Zuid-As. This project was exhibited at Kunstvlaai 2012 and Vu Hortus june, 2013. See more
